Savory Autumn Snack Mix

In my opinion, snack mixes are a must during fall and winter. From traditional Chex Mix and trail mix to addicting Puppy Chow and Muddy Buddies, there is no shortage of recipes using cereal and other mix-ins to create tasty snacks. As a fun twist, I decided to use the flavors of homemade stuffing for this Savory Autumn Snack Mix. The addition of cheese crackers and pepitas along with the wheat cereal, pretzels, and mixed nuts creates the perfect Autumn colored backdrop for this hard to put down snack.

This is a fast and easy recipe that will be perfect to keep on hand during the last busy weeks of the year. Feel free to mix up the ingredients if you like depending on what you have on hand. You can omit the nuts, add rice squares cereal, or stir in some sunflower seeds. You really can’t mess it up!

I plan on making several batches and setting out bowls to tide my family and friends over before Thanksgiving dinner.  If there’s any left they can munch on it while watching football later in the day!
